Special Benny – Toys (Proper Songs)
Chrome Hoof – Crush Depth (Southern)

What did you think of the Beach House record?
I’m scared to listen to it. I love their previous two albums and don’t want the spell to be broken with too much polish…
I can see that. Funnily enough, I felt the same when they released “Devotion.” To this day I haven’t listened to it.
But I broke down and gave “Teen Dream” a chance because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews it’s received from all corners. Have to say, I’m pretty impressed. You’re right; it’s very polished. But it works for me. I’m guessing you’d like it too.
I’m enjoying your latest EP and am looking forward to the full-length. Great blog, too.
my top!
Ali Farka & Toumani Diabaté – Ali & Toumani
Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti – Before Today
Deerhunter – Halcyon Digest
